03/13/12 Pete Bostwick Homeland Security Intelligence Chief Helped Muslim Run Palestinian Money-Laundering Ring w/ DHS $s! (ICE Limits Probe of Agencywide Scam) - March 4, 2011, - 12:41 am By Debbie Schlussel
If I wrote a mystery thriller about what’s been going on at ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), you’d say it was implausible, far-fetched, and bigoted against Arab Muslims, that they are loyal Americans who would never do such a thing. And a top Homeland Security intelligence official would never help launder Homeland Security cash to Islamic terrorists, right?

03/13/12 Pete Bostwick Federal probe identifies “cracks” in ICE - By - Doug Hagmann Monday, March 7, 2011
There is a major national scandal involving multiple breaches of national security by Muslims working in federal law enforcement positions that you are not hearing about. Through a combination of blatant stupidity and calculated design, we’ve let our enemies inside our “house” and access to our security, which is a situation that is purposely being downplayed by this administration and the complicit corporate media.

03/13/12 Pete Bostwick Calif. shooting latest woe for immigration agency - Posted at: 02/20/2012 9:35 AM By ALICIA A. CALDWELL, Associated Press
(AP) WASHINGTON - The deadly office shooting in California involving a federal immigrations supervisor and a special agent is the latest mark against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the law enforcement agency created after the 2001 terror attacks.
Its officers and agents have themselves been arrested for crimes, accused of improper relationships with informants, convicted in embezzlement cases, and more.

03/13/12 Pete Bostwick Muslim DHS Intelligence Analyst Gets Wrist-Slap After Stealing, Laundering $2 Mill to Palestinians - By Debbie Schlussel
An Islamic top Department of Homeland Security official steals and launders almost $2 million to Jordan–perhaps to Palestinian terrorists–and gets a mere slap on the wrist–a year in federal prison. That’s what happened yesterday to Ahmed Adil Abdallat.

10/28/11 Pete Bostwick Mexico's Cartels Draw Online Activists' Ire - October 28, 2011 By Anonymous member in San Francisco on Aug. 15 - Stratfor Global Intelligence
Thought you might find this interesting, as the cartels have been increasingly brutal--and murderous--toward journalists who have been gutsy enough to write about them. This is an interesting tack, though even these online critics are taking a chance.
This is one more good example of how hard it is for autocrats, dictators and mobs to put lid on criticism if people have access to communications tools.
The online activist collective Anonymous released a video Oct. 6 in which a masked spokesman denounces Mexico's criminal cartels, demands that a member of Anonymous kidnapped by Los Zetas be released, and threatens to release information about individuals cooperating with Mexico's cartels. If Anonymous carries out its threat, it will almost certainly lead to the deaths of individuals named as cartel associates, whether or not the information released is accurate. Furthermore, as Mexican cartels have targeted online journalists and bloggers in the past, hackers could well be targeted for reprisal attacks.

09/28/10 Pete Bostwick In Mexico, a War Every Century - September 14, 2010 By ENRIQUE KRAUZE - The New York Times
EVERY 100 years, Mexico seems to have a rendezvous with violence. As the country gathers on Wednesday night for the ceremony of the “grito” — the call to arms that began the war for independence from Spain — we are enduring another violent crisis, albeit one that differs greatly from those of a century and two centuries ago.

03/14/10 Pete Bostwick Mexico weighs options as lawlessness continues to grip Ciudad Juarez - Sunday, December 27, 2009; A01 By: William Booth and Steve Fainaru - Washington Post Foreign Service
CIUDAD JUAREZ, MEXICO -- Senior Mexican officials have begun a sweeping review of the military's two-year occupation of this dangerous border city, concluding that the U.S.-backed deployment of thousands of soldiers against drug traffickers has failed to control the violence and crime, according to officials in both countries.

In an indictment handed down Nov. 20, the U.S. Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois accused 15 individuals of being involved in the trafficking of cocaine and other narcotics in the Chicago area. The 15 were arrested in a nationwide counter-narcotics operation led by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) dubbed “Project Coronado,” which was aimed at dismantling the drug trafficking network of La Familia Michoacana (LFM), a mid-sized and relatively new drug cartel based in Michoacan state in southwestern Mexico.

12/08/09 Pete Bostwick Mexico Security Memo: Dec. 7, 2009 - December 8, 2009 | 0006 GMT - STRATFOR
Zeta Prison Break
Presumed members of Los Zetas staged a brazen prison raid Dec. 4 in Escobedo, Nuevo Leon state, killing two state police officers guarding the prison and freeing 23 inmates. At the same time in nearby Juarez, Zetas engaged a Mexican military unit in a firefight in an apparent attempt to distract the superior security force away from the prison. While details are still coming in, the incident highlights the uphill battle the Mexican government is fighting as it tries to professionalize its law enforcement ranks.
A March Against Violence in Ciudad Juarez
On Dec. 6, in Ciudad Juarez in Chihuahua state, some 5,000 citizens took to the streets during noon hour to protest the presence of the Mexican military and federal police and the high levels of violence in the city. The citizens were complaining that the presence of the federal forces has served only to fuel the violence rather than suppress it and that the federal personnel were running protection rackets against businesses and private citizens. The presence and use of the Mexican military on the streets of Mexican cities has come under increased scrutiny as allegations of human rights violations have mounted and its effectiveness has come into question.

12/08/09 Pete Bostwick Mexico Security Memo: Nov. 30, 2009 - November 30, 2009 | 2216 GMT - STRATFOR
Federal Police Intelligence Headquarters Opens
Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Secretary of Public Security Genaro Garcia Luna inaugurated the Center of Intelligence of the Federal Police Nov. 25 on the campus of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) headquarters in the Alvaro Obregon delegation of Mexico City. The building is complete with underground facilities and reportedly energy independent from the rest of the SSP campus and houses four departments: security, operations, national alerts and strategic installations. The center is directly connected to over 600 state and municipal offices as well as 169 Federal Police (PF) stations throughout the country. This new intelligence center represents a step forward in the PF’s ability to battle organized crime across Mexico, but its true security and effectiveness remain questionable.

12/08/09 Pete Bostwick "AirTran 297" - Original story + Snopes Input 27 Nov & 6 Dec 09 - November 27, 2009, By: Tedd J. Petruna
I, Gene Hackemack, received this email from my good friend Tedd Petruna, a diver at the NBL facility [Neutral Buoyancy Lab], at NASA Houston, whom I used to work with. Tedd happened to be on this same Flt. 297, Atlanta to Houston.
One week ago, I went to Ohio on business and to see my father. On Tuesday, November the 17th, I returned home. If you read the papers the 18th you may have seen a blurb where a AirTran flight was cancelled from Atlanta to Houston due to a man who refused to get off of his cell phone before takeoff. It was on Fox.
This was NOT what happened.

11/23/09 Pete Bostwick Is Mexico the “New” China? - Nov. 13, 2009, Money Morning/The Money Map Report, By Keith Fitz-Gerald
When it comes to global manufacturing, Mexico is quickly emerging as the “new” China.
According to corporate consultant AlixPartners, Mexico has leapfrogged China to be ranked as the cheapest country in the world for companies looking to manufacture products for the U.S. market. India is now No. 2, followed by China and then Brazil.

4/27/09 Pete Bostwick Picture of border skewed by media - Apr 27, 2009; Section: Business Outlook By: JERRY PACHECO Abq Journal
(PB - AFIO Colleagues,
To illustrate the principle that "content without context is generally useless," I've attached a thoughtful article from today's Abq Journal, about the situation along the NM-Mexico border. I was interested to learn that in the recent CNN special, "The War Next Door," Anderson Cooper sent an assistant across the border to go on an Army patrol while he stayed in El Paso.
The point that media reporting on only the sensational aspects of a story while neglecting "the rest of the story," distorts public perception.
Is there perhaps a similarity here with the release of the Intelligence Memos and the impending disclosure of more prisoner photos from Irag? Content without context.... .)
It’s been a whirlwind month on the U.S.-Mexico border. On March 30, the city of El Paso was the venue for a hearing conducted by Sen. John Kerry and his Senate Foreign Relations Committee about any spillover effects that may be occurring due to the drug violence in Mexico. On April 15, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano toured the Texas-New Mexico-Mexico border and appointed a “Border Czar,” Alan Bersin. This position, which is a first for the U.S., was created to ensure security along its southern border and to promote commerce and trade.

4/24/09 Pete Bostwick Slow Roll Time At Langley- WSJ.com 4/22/2009 By: David Ignatius
(PB - A Washington Post article on the results of the release of the "interrogation memos" within CIA.)
At the Central Intelligence Agency, it's known as "slow rolling." That's what agency officers sometimes do on politically sensitive assignments. They go through the motions; they pass cables back and forth; they take other jobs out of the danger zone; they cover their backsides. Sad to say, it's slow roll time at Langley after the release of interrogation memos that, in the words of one veteran officer, "hit the agency like a car bomb in the driveway." President Obama promised CIA officers that they won't be prosecuted for carrying out lawful orders, but the people on the firing line don't believe him. They think the memos have opened a new season of investigation and retribution.

President Obama on Monday paid his first formal visit to CIA headquarters, in order, as he put it, to "underscore the importance" of the agency and let its staff "know that you've got my full support." Assuming he means it, the President should immediately declassify all memos concerning what intelligence was gleaned, and what plots foiled, by the interrogations of high-level al Qaeda detainees in the wake of September 11.

Note from a retired elite... This is how it really HAPPENED. I do wonder if the U.S. Government is going to Court Martial the Captain of the U.S. Navy Destroyer? Possibly, we do, indeed, have an empty suit in the Oval Office. This problem should have taken hours (at most), not days. A local police Swat Team would have been under less Restrictions. Believe, the empty suit in the Oval Office will very soon be able to "show what he's got" in a like type incident. Hope he does better (but don't hold your breath)!!
